Thae Nu, a 13-year-old sixth-grade student, lives in Taunggyi, Myanmar with her older sister. Her parents separated soon after her birth, and her mother left permanently. Thae Nu and her sister were raised by their father with love and care, becoming her source of comfort and security. Her world was shattered just a few months ago, when her father passed away, leaving Thae Nu and her sister with no other family to rely on.
Thae Nu struggled after losing her father and would often feel immense grief and distress, working through feelings of abandonment and isolation. Her sadness affected her concentration and academic performance, often missing long periods of school. Without her father’s guidance and support, her education and emotional well-being were at serious risk.
During this difficult time, Thae Nu joined the School of Life (SOL) Program operated by our local Operation Blessing partner church. The program became a turning point in her life, helping her to begin the process of healing emotionally and supporting her return to school with renewed focus.
Through Superbook lessons, especially the story of Job, Thae Nu realized that although she lost her earthly father, her Heavenly Father is always with her. This understanding strengthened her faith and gave her new hope. Trauma Healing sessions also helped her express her pain through writing and prayer, bringing peace and healing to her heart.
The School of Life Program has restored Thae Nu’s hope and motivation. She now attends school regularly, studies well, and continues to grow in faith. Her story shows how holistic care, educational and trauma healing support can transform the lives of children facing deep loss and hardship.
As part of the CBN family of ministries, Operation Blessing is working tirelessly across the world to bring help and hope to some of the most vulnerable children and communities. From Myanmar to rural Kenya, Costa Rica to right here in the UK, CBN is at work, bringing the light of the Gospel to a hurting world.
Pray with us. Share this story. Give to the wider work of CBN. Your general support allows us to bring practical help, spiritual encouragement, and the hope of Jesus wherever the need is greatest.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
