I’m so excited about the decision you have just made to follow Jesus!Â
Whether you are coming to Christ for the first time or you’re coming back, you are on the right path. I understand that there may be a lot of thoughts and questions going through your mind right now but know that you’re in the right place.Â
First things first, here are 3 simple streps you can take to begin your journey with Jesus…Â
TELL SOMEONE!Â
Share the decision you have made to follow Jesus! Maybe there’s a trusted friend or family member in your life who would be excited to hear about this significant step?Â
We can also help you find a healthy Christian community to support you in your journey here! A church environment can provide a safe place to share and talk about your decision, as well as offer support and encouragement. But for now, think about who you can tell. Is there someone you trust who would celebrate this decision with you?Â
Â
PRAY. Â
As you have embarked upon a journey with Jesus, now is as good a time as any to start getting to know Him. Prayer is simply talking to Jesus and listening to Him in response. It doesn’t have to be a fancy or super-spiritual prayer, just share your heart with Him – your doubts, fears, excitements and questions. He loves you and loves to hear from you. Perhaps you could begin by thanking Him for the new life you have just received.Â
Â
READ. Â
The Bible (which we talk a lot about in our website) is often referred to as the word of God. God inspired many writers to pen this incredible book and invites us to know His voice by reading it daily. Why not begin a simple Bible plan today? Bible Plans are a great way of helping you focus on and unpack scripture each day, rather than trying to take on the whole Bible in one sitting! One of our beginners’ devotionals to get you started is Back to Basics 1, which can be found within YouVersion, an app you can download on your phone.Â
We wish you every blessing as you journey through life with Jesus. He is good and wants to give you life and life in abundance (see the book of John chapter 10 verse 10!)Â
God bless you.Â
