Key Scripture: Isaiah 43:18-19

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”

God offers a new beginning, no matter where you’ve been.

On this final day of the Return to Grace devotional, we look forward, encouraging you to walk confidently in faith, knowing you are restored, forgiven, and part of God’s unfolding plan.

Reflect on the “new thing” God is doing in your life as you come back to Him.

Perhaps you want to ask God to give you a new vision for your life, now that you are walking with Him once again. Fresh vision and insight from God have the power to energise you and set you on a pathway to righteous and fruitful living.

Like at the start of a new year or season, we set goals and resolutions, this is far more powerful. Vision sought from Heaven is much more potent than a resolution or a goal.

It is God-breathed and can unlock the next season of life for you.

Remember, the most important vision you can have for your life is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your mind, all your soul and all your strength. (See Mark 12:30).

What steps can you take to nurture your relationship with Jesus moving forward?

Spending time in Bible study, prayer and worship is a great way to edify your relationship with the Lord.

Spending daily time with Him will help to keep you on the narrow path that He has set out before you. You wouldn’t go a day without food or drink as these components nourish your body. In just the same way, the words of God found in the Bible are like food to our souls. We need it in order to flourish.

My hope for you is that this devotional has encouraged you to:

Recognise the distance that has existed between you and God…

Understand that Jesus is the Shepherd who searches for His lost ones…

Turn back to a life with Jesus, full and free…

Restore and renew your relationship with God…

Determine to walk forward in faith…

Allow me to leave you with this blessing:

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”

Father God,

I pray now at the end of this devotional that you will guide me as I step into this new chapter of my faith journey. I pray for strength to walk faithfully and to trust in your plans for my future.
