The younger generation is often underestimated – dismissed as distracted, disinterested, or disconnected. But look closer, and you’ll see a deep hunger stirring within them… a longing for truth, purpose, and something that truly matters.
They’ve tasted everything the world claims will satisfy – and found it empty.
In both the UK and the USA, this disillusionment has sparked a remarkable surge in church attendance. Yet it’s more than just numbers on a Sunday. There’s a growing hunger for meaning, identity, and purpose – a hunger only Jesus can truly fill.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
According to The Quiet Revival report, compiled by Dr Rhiannon McAleer and Dr Rob Barward-Symmons, this movement has been “low-key but widespread.”
In his foreword, Bible Society CEO Paul Williams highlights a striking shift: young adults – men and women alike – are gathering in churches, opening their Bibles regularly, devoting themselves to prayer, and openly worshipping Jesus Christ as Lord.
These are not the signs of a casual crowd. They are the marks of a generation rising – not simply to occupy pews, but to live as wholehearted disciples and fearless followers of Jesus. Read the report here.
